Dwarf shrub with compact growth. Japanese azaleas grow up to 60cm high and up to 100cm wide. The evergreen shrub from Japan forms dark red flowers. Blooms profusely in May and June.
Light green, glossy leaves, completely frost-resistant, remain on the bush all winter if the plant has enough water in the soil. The plants need a humus-rich to sandy and also like boggy, always slightly moist garden soil.
You need partially shaded location.
