Dwarf shrub with compact growth. Japanese azaleas grow up to 35cm high and 80cm wide. The evergreen shrub from Japan forms crimson-pink flowers. Blooms profusely in May and June.
Light green, glossy leaves, completely frost-resistant, remain on the bush all winter if the plant has enough water in the soil. The plants need a humus-rich to sandy and also like boggy, always slightly moist garden soil.
You need partially shaded location.
