Broom heather, summer heather, heather Calluna Vulgaris, PINK BETTINA, 10 pieces
The hardy bud heather Gardengirls® 'Pink Bettina' is an interesting heather plant that presents itself with pink bud flowers from August. The evergreen foliage of Calluna vulgaris Gardengirls® 'Pink Bettina' is dark green in colour. The individual leaves are needle-shaped.
The preferred location for the hardy bud heather Gardengirls® 'Pink Bettina' is a sunny to partially shaded location with sandy and acidic garden soil. Under optimal conditions, Calluna vulgaris Gardengirls® 'Pink Bettina' grows bushy and reaches sizes of up to 40 cm and widths of about 40 cm.
It flowers profusely and for a long time, from August to November. The prerequisite for lush flowering is annual, spring-like pruning of the inflorescences. Summer heather requires sunny locations and acidic, dry, well-drained soil. We recommend them for planting in home gardens and bogs. Common heather looks good when planted in groups of 10-15 together with other heather herbs. It looks good in decorative containers, in compositions with dwarf conifers that adorn balconies and terraces until November.
